J&H Fine Art
We are proud to share our abstract
photographic art. We create our images by meticulously
studying many of the urban and industrial structures of
Colorado Springs and surrounding areas, for scenes that
are both inspiring and striking. We capture our images
using high-end digital camera equipment - which yields
very detailed and precise images. The scenes or abstract
representations in our images are produced by photographing
a section of our subject that typically ranges in size
from a postage stamp to that of a magazine cover. J&H Fine Art prints are printed in limited editions of 10 or 20 prints. Once an edition is closed, it will never be re-opened. We do this to ensure that those who purchase our work are guaranteed a truly unique and special piece of art for their collection. To see the current edition of an image, click on the image from the gallery, and it will be listed under the title. We are confident that you will be satisfied with the quality of your print(s). If you are not happy with your print for any reason, you may return it for a refund (not including return postage), if the print is in perfect condition. If your print is damaged during delivery, we will replace it at no charge. Your damaged print will be destroyed upon receipt and the edition numbering will not be affected.
All of our print-only and ColorBoxed orders are printed by
a trusted lab using archival Kodak Professional Lustre Photographic Paper, and
the RA-4 chemical process - yielding superior color separation
and deep rich tonal quality. We always strive to create the
highest-quality prints possible, and we feel this process
yields the most true-to-life representation of what we captured
photographically. We inspect and sign every print before we deliver them to you.
A mounting option we are happy to offer, and highly recommend, is professional archival
print mounting called "ColorPlak" or "ColorBox" mounting. In this process,
the print is professionally mounted on a sturdy 3/8" high density MDF
wood substrate, and a special protective vinyl laminate is heat-pressed
to the print, making it UV, water, and fingerprint resistant. The
wood edges are then beveled and trimmed with a black finished edge. The print is then mounted seamlessly to a 1"-thick black box frame which hangs flush against the wall. The end result is a glass-free, clean, modern-looking archival print that is ready to hang on your wall - for half of the cost of traditional framing. One benefit of this mounting style is that the laminate has a matte finish which cuts down on glare, enabling easy viewing of large prints, even in bright rooms with harsh lighting. ColorBox mounted prints are easily cleaned using mild soap and soft cloth, making them ideal for high traffic areas.
To further enhance the "painting-like" appearance of our
images, we also offer Fine Art Canvas Prints. This
printing option is ideal for those who are interested
in something out of the ordinary, and truly unique. Our Fine Art Canvas Prints are not merely a photograph bonded to canvas. Utilizing a much higher quality process, they are printed directly onto 100% Cotton Rag canvas that is 100% acid and lignin free. This canvas is ideally suited for the archival Ultrachrome inks used by the large format ink jet printers that produce our canvas prints. The lightly textured surface of the canvas adds a stunning effect to the finished product. Our Canvas prints are expertly stretched to wooden stretcher bars that are 1-1/8th inch thick. This particular application allows for the entire image to be viewed on the front of the canvas, with exposed white (blank) canvas wrapping around the stretcher bars. This printing application is ideal for those who like the beauty of a canvas print, yet allows for framing according to personal style and decor. We recommend that these canvas prints be framed by your local professional framer.
Fine Art Canvas Print with visible staples
Our Gallery Wrap Fine Art Canvas prints are produced using
the same high-end process as our canvas prints, but differ in
the stretching process. For Gallery Wrap mounting, the image is
printed larger then the final size, and the print is then wrapped
around the wooden stretcher bar. The staples are on the back of
the stretcher bars. Framing paper covers up the back of the bars,
and metal hangers and bumpers are applied to the corners. The
Gallery Wrap is ready to hang with no additional work needed.
This is our most luxurious finishing and mounting option.
Framing
Due to production considerations and the wide variety of framing
styles and colors available, we do not currently offer traditional
framing services through our website. If you purchase a print from our site with the Print Only option, we recommend professional matting and framing under glass. Not only will this provide a fantastic way to display your new art, but it will also prolong the life of the print, and limit its exposure to contaminants. We will not provide refunds for prints that have been improperly stored and/or cared for. Ordering Prints
